Multispares Racing and Ryan Hansford head to Queensland Raceway in 10 days’ time for round 4 of the 2017 Touring Car Masters series (TCM).
The Peters Motorsport team who look after the mighty Multispares Torana are based in Redcliffe north of Brisbane, just an hour’s drive from Queensland Raceway (QR) where they do all their testing.

With a hectic schedule running cars in both the TCM and V8 Utes this year, the team have given the Torana the once over and will test the 5.0L SLR 5000 this week to ensure the steering pump and steering rack have been correctly rebuilt …

After a successful round 2 of the Touring Car Master’s series at Winton Raceway recently, Ryan Hansford and the Multispares have moved to second in the Pro Am series points.
After making the Torana more comfortable for Ryan to drive he came out blazingly fast in the wet practice sessions on the Friday some 1.8 secs faster than second placed Steve Johnson. Ryan’s smooth driving style combined with the set-up of the Torana with its new wet tyres meant he was in total control of the 600+bhp SLR5000.

Round 2 of the 2017 Touring Car Masters series will be run this weekend, May 19 – 21 at Victoria’s Winton Motor Raceway.

After a successful first round in Adelaide for the Clipsal 500 where Ryan Hansford qualified third, the Multispares Racing Torana has been back to the Peters Motorsport workshop where the crew have put in a new pedal box and moved the seat so Ryan can drive the car without being completely cramped and finishing races with “pins and needles”.

Just three weeks out from the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, Peters Motorsport and Multispares made a change in direction. After racing in the Australian V8 Ute series for several years, they decided the popular Touring Car Masters series (TCM) was a perfect fit for the team, Multispares and most importantly the Multispares customers.
